This is a traditional Coachpaint brushing or sprays product slow drying High gloss which is equivalent to tekaloid

Application Substrates

C.V Coachpaint ready mixed colours transport coating can be applied over sanded original finishes,  except thermoplastic acrylic which requires the application of a barrier coat and areas where tekaloid products are applied.
– Washfiller Etch -on steel or aluminium alloys
– ZP Primer (Shades) (zinc phosphate)
– Mirrorcryl Hi- Fil primer (2k)
– Anti-corrosive primer.
– Mirror clad MIO Coating
– W/B MIO Armourplate primer.
– Plaz plastic primer on rigid plastic components
– White groundcoat is needed on fluorescent colours

Surface preparation

Dry sand with p320-p400 freecut paper
Wet sand with p800-p1000 wet or dry paper.

Spraying Viscosity

C.V Coachpaint ready mixed colours can be thinned 5-1 to a spraying viscosity of 20-28 secs Din4 at 20°c (25-35 secs BSB4 Cup).

Hot Spray Application

A Hot application is possible when the product is heated to a temperature of 60-70°c, and one full coat is applied, no thinning is required.

Brush Application

Apply at unthinned viscosity using a large brush. 2 coats is normally applied
An addition of 10% WS Thinners is recommended.
It is possible to only apply one coat if a correct colour undercoat is used first.

Spray Application

Spray one single medium coat allowing 20 minutes flash off (until touch dry).
Spray one further full wet coat to full gloss, or double header coat.

Drying

20°c metal temperature

Dust free 1 1/2 hrs
Tack free 6 hrs
Hard dry 16 hrs

Recoatability.

Reacoatable after drying times under hard dry ,if flatting is necessary when fully cured flat with p1000 and leave open for 24 hrs before recoating.
If signwriting is required apply CV Coachpaint after times stated for hard dry ,to slow CV Coachpaint an addition of 10% WS Thinners is recommended.

Storage

12 months for unopened cans.
Ambient temperature for application is above 10°c. low humidity /dry conditions.
