Washfiller Etch Primer Aerosol 400 ml is a Tough two pack etch primer filler ,it possesses good Rust inhibiting properties and absolutely superb adhesion, good application and flatting properties, non chromate. This is a exceptional primer for aluminium , metal and wood , and is the bonding primer on plastic products. After coating the product can be left outside for upto 6 months prior to topcoat.

Application Substrates
Washfiller etch is recommended to be applied over ;
– Bare steel – Aluminium – Galvanised metal – G R P (Glass reinforced plastic) – Rigid Plastic bumpers – T P A Thermoplastic acrylic : * Please take note! – Polyester fillers and stoppers after flatting cellulose

Surface preparation
Degreaser with Quick wipe Degreaser.
Dry sand with p180-p240 grade paper. Wet sand with p400-p600 grade paper. * Washfiller etch can be applied over TPA but cellulose topcoats are not recommended as there may be a reaction with TPA if heavy wet coats of colour are applied .Care should be taken with Mirrorcryl TWO pack Acrylic solid colours ,and with Mirrorbase clear over base systems over TPA. Heavy coats applied wet on wet should be avoided . Normal coats should be applied allowing flash off times of 10 mins between coats.

Application process By Spray
Apply one mist coat followed by 2/3 single coats allowing 10 mins flash -off time between coats . Further single coats can be applied to give greater build for filling deeper sanding marks.
Drying at 20 Degrees C Dust free 10 – 15 mins Wet flattable 30 – 40 mins Recoatable 40 – 60 mins Flatting Wet flat with p600 – p800 paper Basecoat with p800 – p1000 paper Storage 12 months for unopened cans. Ambient temperature for application is above 10°c. low humidity /dry conditions. Recoatability With nitrocellulose stoppers (not with polyester type fillers and stoppers) Washfiller etch can be over coated with all standard refinishing systems.
