General Properties

With its different application possibilities the Mirror Hi-Fil 2K primer can satisfy all specific primer demands:
Mirror Hi-Fil 2K primer is very easy to apply and flows out smoothly so that a minimum sanding work is required.
The fillprimer is excellent in sanding even many days after application.
Being a two component primer it creates a substrate proving an excellent topcoat holdout and optimum resistance towards solvents and humidity.
Mirror Hi-Fil 2K primer has a superb hiding power.
Can be topcoated with most refinish topcoats.

Substrates

Mirror Hi-Fil 2K primer can be applied on Any type of old finish.

– including thermoplastic acrylic lacquers and clear over base systems.
– Steel, galvanised steel, aluminium (see surface preparation).
– Sanded Polyester Putty.
– Wood or phenolic treated wood.
– Plastic substrates refer to specific data sheet.
– Washfiller etch primer (chromate free)

Surface Preparation

1. Old Finishes.
– Wash with water and soap.
– Degreaser with quick wipe Degreaser
Sand:
a) Mechanical with P80 – P120 wet with P150 – P240 for maxi application.
B) Mechanical with P180 – P220 wet with P240 – P360 for Primer Surfacer application.
C) For spot priming finish sanding with P280 dry or P600 – P800 wet in blending area.
Treat bare metal spots in sand through areas with:
Clean surface with Quick wipe Degreaser
or
Apply a coat of Washfiller etch primer

2. Steel, galvanised steel, aluminium
(e.g. new constructions
– Degreaser thoroughly with Quick wipe Degreaser.
– Sand and eliminate all rust or corrosion
– Clean with Quick wipe Degreaser.

First apply a coat of Washfiller etch, flash 15 min. And follow with Mirror Hi-Fil 2K primer

Product Preparation

As a High Solids Primer Surfacer For normal car priming – spot, panel and overall. Applies
exceptionally smooth in two coats without dry overspray.
It is a good isolator for old or doubtful finishes.
The inertness of the two component Primer Surfacer gives the maximum appearance to the topcoat.

2. Product Preparation Mixing

Mixing Mirror Hi-Fil 2K primer 3 parts (1000cc) to 1 part (200cc) 108.002.3 High-Fil HS 2K Hardener.
