Damage repair – Seam seal: to be applied with a brush. Synthetic rubber, skin formation time: 3 to 5 minutes, tolerates light oil contamination.
TEROSON® RB 53 is a special brushable seam sealant for seals on the front and rear screens, passenger compartment seal structures, side panels, wheel arch and filler openings. Tolerates light oil pollution. Short skin formation time. Use the TEROSON brush (included in the kit) for the best results. Surface pre-treatment recommended with TEROSON® VR 10.

TEROSON RB 53 is a permanent plastic butyl sealer based on non reactive rubbers. Due to its hot melt effect, the application must be carried out at high temperatures. TEROSON RB 53 strongly adheres to many surfaces, such as plastics, metal alloys and also to oiled metal sheets. The material also retains its plastic properties at low temperatures without getting brittle or flaking off. It offers excellent sealing and corrosion protection. TEROSON RB 53 is compatible with surface treatment and E-coat paint used in the automotive industry and shows good wash off resistance.
APPLICATION AREAS
TEROSON RB 53 is used to seal cavities in the body shop or paint shop of the automotive industry, where tolerances have to be bridged. The product can be used on oiled metal sheets but also on painted or plastic surfaces. Application examples are: – sealing of spoilers – bonding water protective foils on doors (water shedder)
